Delete your account

You can ask us to delete your Bookezi account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to do that, what gets deleted and what we keep.

Delete it yourself, in the app

Open Bookezi, go to Account, then Delete account. Confirm, and the account is deleted immediately. This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us.

If you no longer have the app

  1. Email support@thegamifiergroup.com from the email address you use to sign in to Bookezi, with the subject Delete my account.
  2. We confirm the request from that address. If you write from a different address we will ask you to confirm from the one on the account, so that nobody else can delete it.
  3. We delete the account and confirm by email once it is done, within 30 days of confirming your request.

You do not need the app installed to make the request, and there is no charge.

What is deleted

  • Your account: name, email address, password and profile picture.
  • Your club memberships, including answers to club join forms, member photos and biographies.
  • Your bookings, waiting-list places and attendance history.
  • Your notification preferences and any registered devices used for push notifications.
  • Your sign-in sessions.

Deletion removes your account from every club you belong to. Club organisers will no longer see you in their member lists.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Records we are required to keep by law, such as accounting records, for the period the law requires.
  • Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you, for example the number of people who attended an event.
  • Content you submitted that belongs to a club's own records, such as a past event's attendance count. This no longer identifies you once your account is deleted.

Deleted data is removed from our live systems immediately and from our encrypted backups within 30 days, after which it cannot be recovered.

Leaving a club without deleting your account

If you only want to leave one club, you do not need to delete your account. Open the club in the Bookezi app and leave it from your membership screen. Your account and your other clubs are unaffected.
